Hidden faces, mysterious members, weird aesthetics. Since their first release, “NIHL”, one year ago, nuestros hermanos Altarage have never hidden their purposes and supported by a fusion of swampy death metal injected with cold and obscure black metal atmospheres, they have established themselves as one of the most interesting acts of this new underground trend. A mix of retro revival and a visionary and futuristic attitude. What, since a few years ago, is conventionally called atmospheric blackened death/doom is, in fact, a complex mixture of brute force, long riffs, cutting atmospheres, shattering tempos and demonic vocals, capable of making H.P. Lovecraft proud. “Endinghent”, the highly acclaimed successor of their debut album, is all of that and much more: sinister, oppressive and complex music.
