Formed in 1998 by brothers Aghora and Dödfödd, BLODSKAM lay dormant for a bunch of years and only came back to life in 2014, with the recording of «Lá-Bas», finally released in 2019 by Suicide Records, an album that allowed them to reach many dedicated underground followers a little all over the world. Strangely (or not?), that singular piece of twisted, sharp black metal gathered compliments on Swedish TV and also on its biggest newspaper, motivating the duo to create an even more challenging follow-up. «Ave Eva» is that new effort, having reached shelves and streaming platforms last September, a record where the Swedes reinterpreted – in a sufficiently raw, obscure and melodic way – the biblical genesis, while celebrating Eve’s destructive force.
