It’s still first steps for Asturians BURNT TO DEATH, a band formed in this decade already that has been building up to their first album with a couple of EPs to their name. The latest one, “Black Dragon”, is already a fresh 2026 release and it shows a surprisingly well-oiled, blackened death metal machine. Monolithic riffage, which on this particular occasion were even more enriched by the guest shredding of former Cradle Of Filth man Rich Shaw, strong songwriting, and even when they stretch their wings a bit more ambitiously, like on the closing title-track of the EP which reaches almost seven minutes, they show that they can handle that sort of challenge too. We are looking forward to raising horns to their brutality on stage.
