Based in Barcelos, in the north of Portugal, CAOS RITUAL operate firmly within the territory of doom/stoner metal, embracing a heavy, dragged and mildly lysergic language built on weight and the hypnotic repetition of riffs, set at mid to slow tempos, favouring atmosphere and density over urgency or extreme aggression. The band’s sound is straightforward and stripped down, anchored in saturated guitars and solid rhythmic foundations, without major stylistic detours or forced crossovers. In terms of records, Caos Ritual are defined by a single full-length release, "Souls Corrupted, Vile Misdeeds" (2025), a cohesive, heavy and unadorned album that will serve as the direct foundation for their upcoming performance at SWR.
