A cornerstone of Finnish black metal, whose past and present members have also been present in projects as universally praised as Behexen or Baptism, among others, Shatraug's troops have established themselves as a name to be reckoned with in a country whose black metal underground scene was more or less dominated by the undeniable Beherit and Impaled Nazarene. At a time when both of those were losing some steam, and the overall genre was sliding into decline due to so many clones popping up everywhere, Horna put out their debut album «Kohti Yhdeksän Nousua» in 1998, creating shockwaves throughout a whole scene sorely in need of reanimation. During the last two decades, they've never let their guard down, keeping the black metal flame ablaze in the land of the thousand suns with an impressive streak of faultless albums, splits and EPs.
