Their band name isn’t the most pleasant, but you wouldn’t expect guys who formed over a shared love of Disrupt and Dismember, to try and extract the heaviest and darkest elements out of the various Swedish forms of musical extremity, to be called Pleasant-smelling Garden Flowers, would you? And the truth is, despite that apparently wild ambition, the quartet INDUSTRIAL PUKE has managed to maintain a difficult balance to achieve. From the gravel of Dismember or Entombed’s death’n’roll to the shouty but brainy typically Swedish hardcore (think Burst, for instance), you can find a bit of everything in the works of these guys – a catalogue that is, by the way, about to grow, and fortunately still before SWR takes place. To add to their “Where Life Crisis Starts” EP and their debut full-length “Born Into The Twisting Rope”, they are preparing to release the explosive new album “Alive To No Avail”, of which we’ll be able to hear a few bangers in Barroselas already.
