MUSIC IN LOW FREQUENCIES (M.I.L.F.) interrupted a long publishing hiatus in 2023. They continue on their path of soul-searching and emotional catharsis through a combination of black metal harshness, doom shadows and post-metal envelopment, but perhaps M.I.L.F. have delved even deeper down the rabbit hole in search of darker, muddier notes to refine and re-dimension their sound. Thus was born the recent album ‘Catharsis’, the result of a period of darkness, reflection, contemplation of the soul and purging of the spirits of the M.I.L.F. musicians themselves and ‘an act of pacification with all the heavy spirits we have inside our minds’, to use the band's words. M.I.L.F. are one of the contenders in the final of the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle 2025.
