OBSTRUKTION emerge from a well-known cultural breeding ground: veterans of the Gothenburg hardcore scene, with decades of experience, channelling that background into a no-filter collision of hardcore, grind and death metal. The band made a devastating first impact with "Monarchs Of Decay" (2021), a short, direct and violent record where the aggression of ’90s hardcore is fused with sharpened riffs, brutal breakdowns and a physicality clearly inherited from death metal. Last year’s "The End Takes Form" further refined that formula, sounding tighter and more relentless without sacrificing urgency or ferocity. Everything about Obstruktion is geared towards immediate impact: concise songs, crushing grooves, ragged vocals and a constant confrontational energy — closer to a punch in the face than to contemplation.
