The crossover between doom and hardcore always carries invariable elements. Rage in the vocal lines and drums, colossal density of fuzz in the bass and guitars, wall of amplification or simply weight. REDEMPTUS went from this safe formula on their debut album in 2015 to a progressive exploration of dynamic space (sonically and instrumentally) on their second and third albums. With tremendous emotional strength in their compositions and an increasingly defined personality and maturity, the band led by Paulo Rui (a veteran of the SWR stage) celebrates a decade in 2024 and was long overdue to appear on the poster of the Portuguese underground mecca.
