SARGEIST

Finland
  • Day 2

If you dive deeper into Finnish musician Ville Pystynen's output, it's easy to quickly notice that his dedication to black metal began in his adolescence with the creation of Horna in the early 90s. Thanks to a tremendous blessing of inspiration, while his main band started regularly releasing albums, Ville, also known as Shatraug, conceived the solo project SARGEIST which, after recording several demos, evolved into a serious band for the highly acclaimed debut full-length album "Satanic Black Devotion", released in 2003. It was with this record that they established themselves as one of the most competent revisitations of black metal as it was in the 90s, and since then, they have built a widely praised catalog that has seem them described as creators of the "coldest and sharpest black metal since «Under A Funeral Moon»".
